Thursday Tidbits "Teacher Appreciation"

Happy Thursday everyone! Welcome to our second week of “Thursday Tidbits”.

Today we are going to put together a very cute Teacher Appreciation and/or end of the year teacher gift. The end of the school year is fast approaching and what a great way to thank our children’s teachers by giving them something special… Scentsy special that is.

Scentsy has an adorable ABC’sWarmer that any teacher would LOVE so I took my inspiration from there and went with it. I also ordered the Red CandyApple Scent to go along with the warmer.

Steps:

1.)  Wrap red ribbon around the middle of the basket and hot glue into place.
2.)  Place tan crinkle paper inside the basket
3.)  Place *caramel into your choice of container (you can tie a ribbon around that as well if you would like) *I bought the store caramel and it tasted delicious or if you know how to make some then go for it! The point is to make it your own
4.)  Arrange the warmer, scent, apples, and caramel into the basket. *I didn’t want the lid of my warmer to fall off but I didn’t want to put the warmer in the box in the basket so I placed my lid within the crinkle paper along with the instructions and light bulb so that the teacher would have it all in one place. (I left a note in the basket explaining the lid and instructions were within the paper)
5.)  Print off this cute saying here to go along with the basket and tape it to the wood skewer. Place in basket (Thanks to Eighteen25 for the free printable can you see why I love them so much?!)
6.)  Optional: I wrapped the whole thing in cellophane so that nothing would fall out in its trip to the school

Here is a picture of the finished product ready to be delivered to my daughter’s teacher

What teacher wouldn’t smile when they got this cute thing on their desk?! Hurry and go buy Teacher Appreciation week starts on May 7th but don’t worry if you can’t get it delivered by then, you can plan and give it to them the last day of school as a Big Thank You for all of their hard work and dedication. WE LOVE OUR TEACHERS! ~Crystal Moorhouse

Thursday Tidbits "Brown Paper Packages"

Happy Thursday everyone! I am so excited to start Thursday tidbits to help my customers get some some cute and fun ideas on how to give Scentsy products as gifts and to spread the word about Scentsy products and how amazing they are. I hope you enjoy these weekly ideas as much as I have been getting them together for you.

Our very first tidbit is going to be an idea for a birthday present. I originally found the idea on Eighteen25
, one of my favorite blogs, and thought what a cute gift idea!

I'm always trying to think of cute ways to give gifts and new ways to give friends my favorite Scentsy products. So off I went to around my house gathering supplies to make one of these for a friend’s birthday that was this week.

First I measured my lunch sack and cut 2 pieces of scrapbook paper to 3 ½ inches wide and 10 ¾ inches long (fills the whole length of the bag on both sides).

Then I glued the paper to both sides of the sack.

Then I went here to print off my birthday saying. I used brown paper to fit with the theme of the saying. I cut out the saying leaving about 1/8 of an inch around all the sides.

Next I took my bakers twine (you can buy this on etsy, amazon, and any local scrapbook store and there are so many fun and cute colors!) and left 3 ½ inches and then wrapped the twine around my paper several times (about 5) and then left another 3 ½ inches or so to tie a bow.

1   Glue the saying onto the front of the bag closer to the crease so that you have room to close the top of the bag. (It may be a good idea to open the bag up before you glue so you can see where you want the saying to be placed).

1   Now this is the fun part! Gather your favorite Scentsy products to fill in the bag. My friend is already a Scentsy customer so I picked my favorite scents from this season. I gave her a car candle,   some hand sanitizer, a bar and I added some snickers because you can’t skip chocolate!

Truly the possibilities are ENDLESS! This little project took me 5-10 minutes and I had all the supplies at home so it didn’t cost me any extra. You can dress it up and add things to it or keep it simple either way what a fun and cute way to spread some birthday cheer while sharing something that you love!

I delivered this little beauty to my friend and she was so excited to have some new products to use and her first comment was, “I LOVE the packaging”. I hope you found some inspiration today and understand that it’s the thought behind the gift that means the most.

I challenge you to look at your calendar for the next month and find 1-2 people that you can spread some birthday cheer to; I guarantee that they will LOVE it!
